Eco si presenta diviso in tre sezioni di carattere differente: nella prima il discorso è estremamente frammentato e si basa sul ritorno di cellule sintattiche ben connotate; la seconda sezione presenta una linea melodica affidata al clarinetto che si snoda dapprima con molte esitazioni e quindi, improvvisamente, con grande slancio, per giungere ad un picco di grande tensione; chiude il lavoro una pagina estremamente statica che, come eco appunto, ripercorre la sostanza armonica di quanto ascoltato in precedenza.

Eco is divided into three sections which present different peculiarities: in the first one of them the plot is very fragmented and is based on the return of short, identifiable cells; the second section is conceived on a melodic line, presented by the clarinet: first it moves wavingly, interrupted by nervous commentaries by the strings, then, in a few measures, it reaches a peak full of tension and force; the last episode of the work is a very static page: like a frozen echo the three instruments go over the harmonic substance of what they have played before.
